The Abuse of the Police National Computer: for the benefit of UK regulated companies?

Image via WikipediaBy going back to 2005. The Guardian has highlighted an example of the abuse of police national computer for profit by a policeman.  The case was thrown out by a judge and thus it never came before a jury.

I wonder if this issue fits into the FSA's crime prevention strategy?  IMHO, it certainly should ...
